During the retreat, the team resolved the following changes to be implemented;

  1. For the home page;
  2. Inclusion of different languages on the top left hand side for ease of communication
  3. Inclusion of Accessibility tools, on the top right hand side, for Persons Living With Disability (PLWD)
  4. The home Page color changed from black to green so that it looks more appealing. This page is especially for the people/stakeholders who need to access quick information about the Council without going through the website searching.
  5. The logos to be retained on the left hand side
  6. Instead of “Our Depts.” We adopt “Department”
  7. Functions of the Board should be shifted to “About Us”
  8. Create link besides/below each Board members name for their functions, which will direct to a different page
  9. Blogs, Twitter, News and Events, Customer feedback, Complaints Corruption, integrity should also be included in the Home Page
  10. Clean posts and rearrange the Home page
  11. Press Releases and Speeches should be posted in the web to enable our stakeholders get more information as required by both internal and external
  12. Only professional photographs should be uploaded on the web site. Avoid pictures taken using cameras.
  13. The Service charter should also be uploaded
  14. All videos should be uploaded on YouTube since this medium has no limitations to the size document posted
  15. Links to Videos recorded during interviews on national/international meetings can be obtained from the media houses or service providers
  16. All addresses to County Population Offices to be confirmed and corrected in the website
  • The website to be programmed such that past events are removed after a certain time lapse.
  • The E-books and Journals links to be provided in the library system
  • Under information and services, the functions of the board to be placed below the board members/Or a link to provided
  • Message from director general to be reviewed.
  • Information and services tab to be expunged.
  • Under Resources, repository documents to be changed to publications.
  • E-resources links to be categorized.
  • Newspaper articles and news letters to be placed under media centre
  • Under media Centre, -Events- only one event provided yet there a many events. More events to be uploaded.
  • Speeches, press releases and Public notices do not have content ( PRO office to provide)
  • Under FAQs, the first question to be expunged (What is NCPD). Also, the second last FAQ does not have answer.
  • No photos in the gallery
  • Members suggested the need for PRO and ICT to be put on board for all Meetings/workshops to ensure Quality photos/videos
  1. Quality Population for a Prosperous Kenya to be reviewed to include our responsibility
  2. Service charter to be added as a link to about us
  • Tabs on the home page to be spaced.
  • Notices to be expunged from quick links.
  • Population policy to be appended as the part of quick links in home page.
  • To ensure there is content uniformity in technical and corporate departments.
